The 5 oz America the Beautiful Silver Coins are popular among collectors and investors alike. The America the Beautiful Five Ounce Silver Coins were first authorized by the America’s Beautiful National Parks Quarter Dollar Coin Act of 2008. The act mandated the issuance of 56 coins, one for each state, the District of Columbia, and five U.S. territories. The coins are issued in batches of five per year, with the first coins being released in 2010.
